Pasig City says 1,259 families evacuated due to Kristine
The Pasig City government says 1,259 families have been evacuated as of Friday morning (October 25, 2024) as Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (internal name: Trami) continued to affect Metro Manila. MANILA, Philippines — The Pasig City government said 1,259 families were evacuated as of Friday morning as Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (internal name: Trami) continued to affect Metro Manila.
The Pasig City Public Information Office (PIO) said that as of 9:30 a.m. on Friday, the 1,259 families from 14 barangays were staying at 20 evacuation centers in the city.
Specifically, the local government said the evacuees were from the following barangays:
- Bagong Ilog
- Bambang
- Dela Paz
- Kalawan
- Malinao
- Maybunga
- Pinagbuhatan
- Rosario
- San Joaquin
- San Miguel
- Santolan
- Sta. Lucia
- Sta. Rosa
- Ugong

According to the Pasig City PIO, the evacuees currently stay at:

- Bambang Boys Center

- Stella Maris Covered Court
- Nagpayong Covered Court
- Ilugin Elementary School
- Damayan Multipurpose
- Blue Grass Multipurpose Hall
- Rosario Elementary School
- San Joaquin Elementary School
- San Miguel Covered Court
- Ilaya Covered Court

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its 8 a.m. rainfall advisory that Zambales and Bataan will experience heavy rainfall on Friday morning.
It also said that light to moderate rains may persist within three hours in these areas:

- Tarlac
- Pampanga
- Bulacan
- Cavite
- Batangas
- Nueva Ecija
- Rizal
- Laguna
- Quezon
