MANILA, Philippines – A fallen tree disrupted operations of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line 1 on Thursday evening.

LRT-1 trips were to Central Terminal to Fernando Poe Jr. Station and vice versa as of 8:04 p.m.

“Our engineering personnel are onsite working to safely remove part of the tree which fell on the carriageway and catenary facilities between EDSA and Libertad stations. An electrical post was hit by the fallen tree affecting the power situation in the area. LRT-1 tracks will also be thoroughly checked to ensure everyone’s continued safety,” the LRT Authority said in a Facebook post.

“We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding. Kindly stay tuned for further announcements on this,” it added.
