61 areas under storm signals as Kristine moves across Luzon

MANILA, Philippines — Severe Tropical Storm Kristine is currently affecting the Cordillera Administrative Region, with 61 areas across Luzon and Visayas placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals, the state weather bureau reported Thursday.

As of 8 a.m., 16 areas have been placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 3, indicating moderate to significant impacts from storm-force winds. Additionally, 20 areas are under Signal No. 2, where gale-force winds may cause minor to moderate impacts, while 25 areas are under Signal No. 1, with strong winds bringing minimal to minor impacts.
