MANILA, Philippines — Ten Filipino crew members of the M/V Minoan Courage safely returned to the Philippines on Wednesday via Etihad Airways Flight 424, according to the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).
DMW said this group represents the final batch of repatriated crew members from the 21 Filipino seafarers aboard the Greek bulker that was attacked by Houthi rebels last Oct. 1 in the Red Sea.

Previous groups of 11 seafarers returned home last Oct. 9 and Oct. 13.
“All of the seafarers are safe and were repatriated through the joint efforts of DMW and OWWA, in coordination with their licensed manning agencies and the shipowner,” said the agency.
They will also receive all the necessary assistance from the DMW AKSYON Fund and OWWA, according to the DMW.
The DMW said that the concerned manning agency also arranged hotel accommodations for the repatriated crew members while they await their scheduled psychiatric evaluations. —Emmanuel John Abris,INQUIRER.net trainee
