MANILA, Philippines — Campuses of Bicol University in Daraga and Legazpi were damaged due to the effects of Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami).
In a Facebook post, The Bicol Universitarian, the university’s official student publication, shared snaps of Kristine’s onslaught on its campuses.
Photos showed damage to some of the buildings’ windows, flooding on the soccer field, and trees that fell in front of some buildings.

Earlier, the state weather bureau reported that Kristine’s center was last spotted some 200 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora, moving northwestward at 30 kilometers per hour (kph) and maintaining maximum sustained winds of 85 kph.
Kristine is also forecast to intensify into a severe tropical storm before making landfall in Isabela province.
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, Kristine has so far affected a total of 382,302 persons, or 77,910 families.
