Taal Volcano posts minor phreatic eruption – Phivolcs
MANILA, Philippines — Taal Volcano registered a minor phreatic or steam-driven eruption on Tuesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In a report, the state volcanologist noted that the event locally termed “pusngat” occurred from 9:14 a.m. to 9:23 a.m. and produced plumes reaching 1,500 high that drifted southeast.
The volcano also recorded one phreatic eruption on Monday, October 21, that lasted for eight minutes.

Two minor steam-driven eruptions likewise happened at the volcano last October 14. The first eruption was recorded from 5:33 a.m. to 5:37 a.m., while the second was from 7:03 p.m. to 7:10 p.m.
