MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte reiterated her apology to the members of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) for asking them to support then-presidential candidate Ferdinand Marcos Jr., adding she would take it back if she could.
Duterte has already apologized to the KJC members before, but she brought it up again during a press conference on Friday.

“Sorry. Nagsorry ako sa mga members ng Kingdom of Jesus Christ, kasi I asked them to support President Marcos during the elections,” she said.
(Sorry. I apologized to the members of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ because I asked them to support President Marcos during the elections.)
“Individually, kapag may lumalapit, nagsasabi na ‘we are all in this sh** hole because of you,’ sinasabi ko rin na I’m sorry,” she added.
(Individually, when someone approaches me and says that we are all in this sh** hole because of you, I also say I’m sorry.)
The vice president said that if given the opportunity, she would undo what she did.
“Kung bibigyan ako ng Diyos ng pagkakataon bawiin ko lahat ‘yan…Babawiin ko ’yung dapat para sa bayan,” said Duterte.
(If God gives me the chance, I will take it all back… I will reclaim what is right for the country.)
Marcos, in an interview last September, reacted to Duterte’s initial apology, saying that it was her prerogative to ask KJC members for their support.
“That’s her prerogative. I still don’t understand why. That is her wish, wala tayong magagawa (there’s nothing we can do),” Marcos said.
