MANILA, Philippines – Vice President Sara Duterte is remaining silent by taking a very low profile lifestyle, Sen. Imee Marcos said during the Kapihan sa Senado forum on Thursday.

“Well, [Vice President] Sara, as we all know, is taking a very low profile. Umiiwas muna at nananahimik, nag iisip-isip, [at] nagmumuni-muni. Mabuti naman, syempre,” Marcos simply said.

([Vice President] Sara, as we all know, is taking a very low profile.Staying silent, thinking, [and] meditating. It’s good, of course.)

The senator’s brother, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr  earlier took a swipe at the Vice President, saying that he felt “deceived” by Duterte, after the latter publicly denied ever being friends with him despite their “UniTeam” tandem in the  2022 elections.

Sen. Marcos, however, said it’s not in her character to meddle with somebody else’s conflict.

“Let them answer their own LQ. Don’t drag me into it. When there are two friends who have a misunderstanding, you don’t use one to fight the other. Then you will trigger  the other so that they cry more and more and their fight flares up. I don’t do that.” she said.

In the same interview, the senator was asked whether or not she would push for the reversion of the slashed budget of the Office of the Vice President.

She said senators have yet to discuss the matter because Senate sessions are adjourned. She, however, noted that she hates being a bully to the underdog.
