Nine of the top ten cities in the country with the highest income from local sources in 2009 were from the National Capital Region, according to recent data from the National Statistical Coordination Board. The top ten cities were Makati, Quezon City, Manila, Pasig, Pasay, Muntinlupa, Caloocan, Parañaque, Cebu and Taguig. Schatzi Quodala, Inquirer Research
