Online sellers’ slay suspects confessed to 12 other shootings, says PNP

MANILA, Philippines — Suspects in the double murder of Pampanga online sellers reportedly admitted to 12 other shootings in Central Luzon, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Wednesday.

“The suspects have confessed to being involved in at least 12 other shooting incidents across Pampanga, Bataan and Nueva Ecija, making their capture a significant victory in the fight against violent crimes,” PNP said in a statement.

Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) authorities on Tuesday arrested seven individuals named Arnold Taylan, Arnel Buan, Robert Dimaliwat, Rolando Cruz, Jomie Rabandaban, Sancho Nieto and alleged mastermind Anthony Limon.

They are suspects in the killing of online sellers Arvin and Lerma Lulu in Mexico town in Pampanga province.

PNP said Limon owed P13 million to the victims and paid P900,000 to hire hitmen.

“Violence, driven by greed or any other motive, has no place in our society. The quick resolution of this case highlights the capability and dedication of our police force to bring those responsible to justice,” PNP Chief Gen. Rommel Marbil said.

PRO3 also confiscated three caliber 9mm pistols, five caliber .45 pistols, one .22 caliber rifle and one air gun during the arrest.

“All seven suspects connected to the case are now facing double murder charges, while further investigations are underway to determine the involvement of additional individuals, including the mastermind’s spouse,” PNP added.

The Lulu spouses were shot dead in their car on October 4 afternoon by assailants riding in tandem, who tailed the couple from their house in Angeles City to a mall in Mexico.
