Starting Nov. 6, all flights being operated from Terminal 4 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) will be transferred to Terminal 2 as the gateway’s oldest terminal will undergo renovation and safety upgrades. San Miguel-led New Naia Infra Corp. wants to complete the rehabilitation of Terminal 4 by February next year. Terminal 4 services the flights of boutique airlines AirSwift and Sunlight Air, as well as Cebu Pacific’s regional brand Cebgo Inc. Currently, Terminal 4 handles about 2,900 passengers everyday. These represent 2.23 percent of the gateway’s daily passenger volume. The Naia operator said it was “coordinating closely with these airlines to ensure a smooth transition and minimize any disruptions for passengers.” —TYRONE JASPER C. PIAD
