Soccsksargen police colonel relieved due to alleged sexual harassment
MANILA, Philippines – A Soccsksargen police colonel was “relieved” from his post after a policewoman alleged he sexually harassed her, Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson BGen. Jean Fajardo said on Tuesday.
Fajardo said the Soccsksargen police colonel “was assigned to the Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit, pending investigation.”
“Regional Internal Affairs Service 12 already took cognizance of this case, according to the regional director, to dissuade any notion that there will be any whitewashing,” she added.
Fajardo also said a case has yet to be filed against the colonel.
“That is precisely the reason why personnel from the national headquarters will proceed to Region 12 to get in touch with the alleged victim to get some details to be used to file a corresponding complaint,” she explained.
