MANILA, Philippines – Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are forecast in parts of Northern Luzon due to a low-pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), the Philippine Atmopspheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa)  reported on Tuesday.

The LPA was last spotted some 350 kilometers (km) west of Abucay, Bataan.

“Due to this low-pressure area, we can expect rainy weather in La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, and Bataan. Residents in the said areas are advised  to be cautious, especially those who have been experiencing rain in recent days,” Pagasa weather specialist Veronica Torres said in Filipino.
