Armed drug pusher busted in Laguna

LUCENA CITY — A man on a police drug watch list was caught early Saturday, Oct. 5, with an illegal firearm and shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in Calauan town in Laguna province.

The Region 4A police reported that anti-illegal drugs operatives arrested “Aljerrau” at 12:15 a.m. after he sold P500 worth of meth to a poseur buyer in in Barangay Sto. Tomas.

The operatives found the suspect carrying an undocumented caliber .45 gun loaded with seven bullets and four plastic sachets of shabu worth P4,760.

The police tagged Aljerrau as a street-level drug pusher on their watch list.

The suspect was placed under police custody and would face charges of violating anti-drug laws and another case for illegal possession of a firearm.
