MANILA, Philippines—Employees of the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals on Wednesday heard a mass for the speedy recovery of Chief Justice Renato Corona.

Corona has been confined at the ICU of Medical City Hospital in Pasig City since shortly after midnight Tuesday while being treated for a possible heart attack.

Jojo Guerrero, president of the Supreme Court Employees Association (SCEA), said that this time employees of the appellate court joined them in celebrating the mass.

Corona left the Senate in a wheelchair Tuesday after testifying before the Senate, which is trying him for, among others, allegedly misdeclaring his statement of assets and liabilities (SALN).
