Corona didn’t respect the Senate, says Drilon

MANILA, Philippines—Senator-judge Franklin Drilon said Chief Justice Renato Corona disrespected the Senate, acting as impeachment court, when he walked out of the trial without being discharged on Tuesday.

In an interview with John Susi of Radyo Inquirer on Wednesday morning, he said Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile was very lenient on Corona when he allowed the Chief Magistrate to deliver his three-hour message and Powerpoint presentation but still, Corona chose left the Senate abruptly.

“Binastos nya ang Senado,” he said.
