4 traffickers yield P523,000 shabu in Cavite, Laguna, Rizal

LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics operatives arrested four suspected drug traffickers on Tuesday and Wednesday (Sept. 24 and 25) in buy-bust operations in Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal provinces.

The operations yielded more than P523,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth), the Police Region 4A said in a report on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

The report stated that operatives in Cainta, Rizal arrested “Ambeng” at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday after he sold shabu to a poseur-buyer in Barangay San Juan.

Seized from the suspect were six plastic sachets containing meth worth P81,600.

In Laguna, police in Victoria town held “Klim” in Barangay Nanhaya around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

The suspect was caught in alleged possession of four sachets of shabu worth P272,000.

Cavite police drug enforcers busted “Boy” and “Melody” in Barangay Luzviminda 2 in Dasmariñas City around 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

They yielded four sachets of shabu valued at P170,000 and a mobile phone, which will be examined for records of drug transactions.

Police said Boy and Melody were on the police drug watch list as high-value individuals in the local drug trade, while Klim and Ambeng were identified as street pushers.

Authorities in the three provinces are conducting further investigations to determine the source of the illegal drugs.

All suspects are under police custody and are facing complaints of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
