MANILA, Philippines — Easterlies are expected to bring cloudy skies with isolated rain showers in various areas of the country on Wednesday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In an early morning report by the agency, weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio predicted such conditions for Quezon, the Bicol Region, and the Visayas.
The easterlies are the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.
For Metro Manila and the rest of the country, Pagasa forecast partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
“Maganda at maaliwalas ang panahon. Maaraw. Bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap ang kalangitan, maliban lang po sa mga isolated na pag-ulan o biglaang buhos ng ulan lalo na po sa bandang hapon o gabi,” Aurelio said in the report.
He also mentioned that more clouds in the Sulu Sea may result in scattered rain showers in the Visayas.
“Ito ay inaasahan po nating malulusaw ngayong araw,” the Pagasa expert added.

No gale warning was raised by Pagasa in any seaboards on September 25.
