7 alleged cohorts of Alice Guo surrender to NBI
Seven alleged cohorts of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, alias Guo Hua Ping, surrendered to authorities, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said on Monday.
NBI chief Jaime Santiago said five of Guo’s cohorts turned themselves in before the agency’s office in Central Luzon, while the two others surrendered to the task force on the former mayor’s case.

Fines for RFID noncompliance moved to Jan 2025
The imposition of fines against motorists entering toll highways without radio frequency identification (RFID) tags has been moved to January 2025, said the Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Monday.
“We are extending to January next year, the implementation of the penalties — not the whole program of cashless expressways — under the joint memorandum circular 2024-001,” said Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista in a Palace briefing.
Fuel prices to increase up to P1.10 a liter starting September 24
Fuel prices will increase beginning Tuesday, September 24, oil companies have announced in separate advisories.
Seaoil, CleanFuel, Petro Gazz, and Shell Pilipinas said the per-liter costs will rise by P1.10 for gasoline and 20 centavos for diesel.
