Arrest of 7 drug suspects yields P387,000 worth of shabu, gun
LUCENA CITY —Police in Rizal and Cavite provinces arrested seven drug suspects and seized over P387,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm in operations on Saturday and Sunday (September 21 and 22).
The Region 4A police reported that cops conducting “Oplan Sita,” a routine anti-criminality inspection, flagged down motorcyclist “Jonathan” in Barangay (village) Daang Amaya 1 in Tanza, Cavite at 12:50 a.m. Sunday after receiving a report that the rider threatened village watchmen with a handgun.
When frisked, the police found the suspect carrying an undocumented caliber .45 pistol loaded with three bullets and eight sachets of shabu weighing 10 grams worth P68,000.
The police also impounded the suspect’s motorcycle that had no plate number.
In Rizal, anti-illegal drugs operatives in Taytay town arrested “Ranel” after he sold shabu to an undercover police officer during a sting held in Barangay Muzon around 4 a.m. on Saturday.

Article continues after this advertisementConfiscated from the two drug suspects were a total of 30 grams of meth worth about P204,000.
Policemen in Rodriguez town busted “Patrick” in a sting operation in Barangay San Rafael around 8:25 p.m.
The suspect was caught with five sachets of shabu worth P68,000.
Meanwhile, in Cainta town, police officers arrested “Gemma,” “Jimmy” and “Ryan” in an operation in Barangay San Andres at around 4:50 p.m. on Saturday.
The suspects were found with 18 sachets containing shabu worth P47,600.
All suspects are under police custody and will face a formal complaint for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Motorcyclist Jonathan will also face another case for illegal possession of a firearm.
