2 drug suspects yield P447,000 shabu in Rizal bust

LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics agents seized more than P447,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from two suspected drug traffickers in a buy-bust operation on Thursday, Sept. 19, in Binangonan, Rizal.

The Region 4A police reported that members of the local drug enforcement unit nabbed “Tae” and “Set”” at 2:50 a.m. after they sold P500 worth of shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay Tatala.

Seized from the suspects were four plastic sachets and two knot-tied plastics containing alleged shabu weighing 65.83 grams worth P447,644.

Another associate of the suspects identified as alias “Taneg” eluded arrest.

The police tagged the arrested suspects as both “high-value individuals” in the local drug trade.

The police are conducting further investigations to determine the source of the illegal drugs.

Both suspects are under police custody and will face a charge of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
