MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. on Thursday asked farmers and land reform beneficiaries to use their lands responsibly for the benefit and welfare of their families and the country.
Marcos made the appeal during the distribution of land titles and turnover of farm-to-market roads in Coron, Palawan.
During the event, Marcos distributed 1,234 land e-titles to 1,217 agrarian reform beneficiaries, totaling 2,921.96 hectares.
An additional 53 Certificates of Land Ownership Awards were also distributed, totaling 4.8277 hectares of land in Narra, Palawan.
“Accompanying this grant is our appeal that you utilize the land properly to support and help not only your families but for the entire Philippines as well,” Marcos said in Filipino in a speech.
Marcosreiterated the government’s commitment to improving the country’s agricultural sector.
“Everything we do is aimed at ensuring that every meter of land serves as the foundation for a more prosperous and peaceful future for our farmers—a future full of certainty, security, and opportunities to thrive not only in agriculture but in every aspect of your life,” he said.
