MANILA, Philippines — The two weather disturbances being monitored by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) are expected to leave the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Wednesday.
As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, Tropical Depression Gener was located 235 kilometers west-northwest of Baguio City, Benguet, while Tropical Storm Pulasan was last seen 1,980 km east of extreme northern Luzon.

Gener was expected to move westward at 30 kilometers per hour and was forecast to be outside PAR at 2 a.m. on Wednesday, over 555 km west of Dagupan City, Pangasinan.
‘Helen’
Pagasa said Pulasan would move northwestward and would be named Helen once it enters PAR on Tuesday. It will remain far from the land before it exits PAR on Wednesday afternoon or early evening.

Heavy to intense rains were expected on Wednesday in Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, Aklan, Antique, and Negros Occidental, it added.
