MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Justice (DOJ) is ready to accept complaints against those who supposedly harbored the embattled founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) Apollo Quiboloy, Justice Undersecretary Nicholas Ty said on Tuesday.

“Ako mismo, nakausap ko kahapon ‘yung mga ibang opisyal ng DILG (Department of the Interior and Local Government), na sinabi ko naman…napag-usapan namin na maaaring dito na isampa ‘yung kaso kasi unang-una nationwide naman sakop ng mga state prosecutor pag dating sa preliminary investigation,” said Ty in an interview.
(I personally spoke with some other officials from the DILG yesterday, and I mentioned… we discussed that the case could be filed here because, first of all, it falls under the nationwide jurisdiction of the state prosecutors when it comes to a preliminary investigation.)
“Kung gusto nila ituloy ang kaso na ‘yan laban sa mga nagkanlong kay Pastor Quiboloy, maari nilang ihain dito ‘yan sa head office,” he added.

Quiboloy was detained at the Philippine National Police (PNP) custodial center at Camp Crame in Quezon City shortly after his arrest at the KJC compound last September 8.

This ended the weeks-long operations of around 2,000 members of the PNP to serve arrest warrants against the religious leader and his co-accused.
Last September 13, Quiboloy appeared before the court for the very first time, where he entered a not guilty plea for his human trafficking and child abuse cases.
