Shabu worth P299,000 seized from 2 suspects in Rizal

LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics agents arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 17, two “high-value” drug traffickers and seized shabu (crystal meth) worth more than P299,000 in Binangonan town in Rizal province.

Local police drug enforcement unit held “Bernie” and “Jayson” at 3:30 a.m. after they sold P500 worth of shabu to a poseur buyer in a transaction in Barangay Mambog, the Region 4A police reported.

The police seized seven plastic sachets containing meth weighing 44.02 grams worth P299,336 from the suspects, who are “high-value individuals” in the local drug trade, the report stated.

The suspects were detained and will face a complaint of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
