MANILA, Philippines—A businessman and his secretary were shot dead in San Pedro, Laguna Friday noon, a police officer told INQUIRER.net.

Police Officer 1 Michael Punzalan, desk officer of the San Pedro police, identified the fatalities as Reginaldo Tanyag, 28, and his secretary Noel Natividad, 40.

Punzalan said that the victims were on their way back to the office from withdrawing a still undetermined amount of money from a Banco de Oro branch in San Pedro when a still unidentified suspect shot them.

He said that the suspect shot at the victims when they stopped the black Honda Civic (HGL-555) which they were driving along Tibagan Magsaysay Road in San Antonio village, San Pedro, Laguna. The suspect approached the stationary vehicle, shot the victims and stole the money, said Punzalan.
