MANILA, Philippines — Some areas in the country announced suspension of classes for Friday, September 13 because of inclement weather.
Below is the list of areas where classes were suspended:
Antique, all levels, public and private
- Municipality of Valderrama
Negros Occidental, all levels, public and private
- Municipality of Candoni
- Municipality of Binalbagan
- Municipality of Isabela
- Municipality of Cauayan
- Municipality of Hinigaran
- Sipalay City
Meanwhile, classes in all levels, both public and private, at Guimba town, Nueva Ecija, were also canceled in preparation for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s attendance at the launch of Agri-Puhunan at Pantawid of the Department of Agriculture.
The state weather bureau is currently monitoring the trough of severe tropical storm Bebinca and the southwest monsoon.
Based on its last tracking, Bebinca was 1,975 kilometers east of Central Luzon – outside the Philippine area of responsibility, packing maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour (kph) with gustiness of 115 kph.
