Apollo Quiboloy detained at PNP
MANILA, Philippines — Fugitive televangelist Apollo Quiboloy is now detained at the Philippine National Police (PNP) custodial center at Camp Crame in Quezon City shortly after his arrest at Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) compound on Sunday.
Interior Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr. made the announcement in a Facebook post on Sunday, but did not provide details.
PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo later confirmed that Quiboloy, along with Jackielyn Roy, Ingrid Canada, Cresente Canada, Sylvia Cements, were arrested inside the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) compound in Davao City.
Fajardo said Quiboloy and four others were sent to Manila from Davao City via C-130 plane by 6:30 p.m.
The five suspects arrived at Villamor Airbase in Pasay City at 8:30 p.m, and they arrived at the PNP custodial center at 9:10 p.m.

Quiboloy and the five co-accused face child abuse cases before the Davao City court. One of them has been under the custody of authorities since July.

On Aug. 24, around 2,000 members of the PNP raided the 30-hectare KJC compound, and they stayed there until Quiboloy’s arrest.
