LEGAZPI CITY — Three construction workers died while two others were hurt in electrocution in Naga City, Camarines Sur on Friday afternoon.
Naga City police identified the fatalities as Amador, 27; Juan, 40; and JR, 30. They are residents of Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur.
Based on the initial investigation, the construction workers were installing the steel post of a solar street light when they accidentally touched the live electrical wire in Barangay (village) Bagumbayan Sur at 1:55 p.m.
Amador, Juan, and JR were brought to a hospital, but they were declared dead on arrival, while two other workers identified as Anton, 24; and Jose, 36, were still in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
