MANILA, Philippines — Zambales and other Luzon areas will experience heavy rainfall with possible flooding on Friday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
In its 11 a.m. rainfall advisory, Pagasa said Zambales and Bataan are under orange rainfall warning where flooding is “still threatening.”
Places under this alert category will have between 15 millimeters (mm) and 30 mm of rain for the next three hours.
On the other hand, yellow warning is up in Tarlac and Pampanga where flooding is likely in flood-prone areas.
Rainfall between 7.5 mm and 15 mm may occur for the next three hours in these sites.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rains with occasional heavy downpours are expected in Metro Manila, Cavite and Batangas within the next three hours.
The same condition is also forecast in Bulacan and Nueva Ecija.
Pagasa specialist Benison Estareja, in Friday morning’s weather bulletin, said the slight improvement in weather can be attributed to the weakening of the southwest monsoon, or locally termed habagat.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported on Friday morning that 16 deaths were recorded due to the onslaught of the Super Typhoon Yagi, locally known as Enteng.
NDRRMC also said the typhoon affected more than 2 million individuals or over 538,000 families.
