15 missing in Bicol due to Enteng; 13 reported dead in PH – NDRRMC

MANILA, Philippines — The total number of persons reportedly missing due to Severe Tropical Storm Enteng has increased to 15 from seven.

On the other hand, the death toll has increased to 13.

These figures were provided by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Thursday.

All of the missing individuals are in the Bicol Region.

The death toll rose from 12 to 13 after an additional fatality was recorded, also in Bicol.

These deaths have yet to be validated by the NDRRMC.

Meanwhile, 11 were injured due to Enteng.

NDRRMC pegged the worth of destruction to infrastructure at P63.4 million, while P1.2 million of agricultural losses were also logged.

A total of 1.6 million individuals in Metro Manila and eight other regions were affected by the weather disturbance.

More than 36,000 persons are remaining in 297 evacuation centers in their localities.

Luzon and some parts of Visayas bore the brunt of Enteng, which tore off roofs, uprooted trees, toppled concrete electric posts and street signs, turned streets into rivers and destroyed large hectares of crops.
