MANILA, Philippines — Most local government units in Metro Manila declared a class suspension on Thursday, Sept. 5, due to heavy rains.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said these local government units declared class suspension as of 5:00 a.m.
- Marikina City – all levels (public and private)
- Valenzuela City – all levels (public and private)
- Parañaque City – all levels (public and private)
- Las Piñas City – face-to-face classes at all levels (public and private)
- Manila City – face-to-face classes at all levels (public and private)
- Muntinlupa City – all levels (public and private)
- Caloocan City – all levels (public and private)
- Pasay City – all levels (public and private)
- Malabon City – all levels (public and private)
- Taguig City – all levels (public and private)
- Pateros – all levels (public and private)
- Navotas City – all levels (public and private
- Mandaluyong City – all levels (public and private)
Heavy rains are expected in Metro Manila due to the effects of southwest monsoon or habagat enhanced by Severe Tropical Storm Enteng.
