 32 AFP officers get CA nod

MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Appointments on Wednesday approved the ad interim appointment and nomination of 32 generals, flag officers and senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

The following appointees and nominees gained the powerful congressional body’s approval: 

Ad interim appointments:

  • Dennis Estrella – to the rank of Major General
  • Joseph Flores – to  the rank of Colonel, Philippine Army
  • Fernando Reyeg – to the rank of Lieutenant General
  • Angelo Guzman – to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Army
  • Diosdado Caluya Jr. – to the rank of Commodore
  • Vincent Sibala – to the rank of Commodore
  • Felipe Bautista – to the rank of Commodore
  • Jimmy Larida – to the rank of Major General
  • Francisco Tagamolila Jr. – to the rank of Rear Admiral
  • Romulus Joseph Canieso – to the rank of Brigadier General
  • Pedro Balisi Jr. – to the rank of Major General
  • Ferdinand Marcelino – to the rank of Brigadier General
  • Eric Gatchalian – to the rank of Brigadier General
  • Joe Anthony Orbe – to the rank of Rear Admiral
  • Roy Anthony Derilo – to the rank of Brigadier General
  • Darwin Fernandez – to the rank of Brigadier General
  • Constancio Arturo Reyes Jr. – to the rank of Commodore
