MANILA, Philippines — The number coding in Metro Manila on Monday has been suspended due to heavy rains brought by Tropical Storm Enteng, according to Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

“In view of the inclement weather brought about by typhoon Enteng and southwest monsoon, the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program or Number Coding is suspended today, September 2,” the MMDA said in its advisory.

Classes in all levels in Metro Manila were also cancelled due to TS Enteng, said Palace.

Luzon is now experiencing the effects of TS Enteng, bringing overcast skies and heavy rainfall in the area, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

As of 3:00 a.m., Pagasa said Enteng was last spotted moving over the coastal waters of Vinzons, Camarines Norte at 10 kilometers per hour (kph) west northwestward, packing maximum sustained winds of 75 kph and gustiness of up to 90 kph.
