Palma back in hospital

‘Nothing serious, says vicar’

OVER a month after he underwent surgery to remove gall bladder stones, Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma is back in the hospital.

Palma was confined in a private hospital in Cebu City after experiencing coughs and colds over the weekend.

Msgr. Esteban Binghay, episcopal vicar of the Archdiocese of Cebu, said the 62-year-old archbishop has to rest to avoid complications.

“Nothing serious. Thanks be to God,” Binghay said.“Of course, if you have colds, you’ll be feverish. You’ll certainly feel weak.”

Last Saturday,  Palma was  suffering a cold while celebrating Mass in  Talisay City. He celebrated Mass for the feast of St. Joseph in Mabolo, Cebu City last Sunday.  Reporter Ador Vincent Mayol
