Number coding scheme suspended in Metro Manila on Wednesday (Aug. 28)
MANILA, Philippines — The implementation of the expanded number coding scheme was suspended on Wednesday following Malacañang’s suspension of work in government offices and classes in public schools in Metro Manila.
This was announced by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority in a Facebook post.

“Suspendido na ang pagpapatupad ng Expanded Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) ngayong araw, Agosto 28, kasunod ng anunsyo ng Malacañang na walang pasok sa government offices at pasok sa lahat ng antas ng pampublikong paaralan sa Metro Manila dahil sa patuloy na pag-ulan na dulot ng Southwest Monsoon,” the post read.
(The implementation of the Expanded Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) is suspended today (August 28) following Malacañang’s announcement of the suspension of work in government offices and classes at all levels in public schools in Metro Manila due to the continuous rains brought by the southwest monsoon.)
