MANILA, Philippines — Some local government units suspended classes on Wednesday, August 28, due to inclement weather.
Based on the state weather bureau’s latest forecast, the southwest monsoon is bringing rain over several parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila.

Below is a list of areas that suspended classes:
Metro Manila:
- Manila City – all levels (both public and private)
- Quezon City – all levels (both public and private)
- Navotas City – all levels (both public and private)
- Malabon City – all levels (both public and private)
- Caloocan City – all levels (both public and private)
- Marikina City – all levels (both public and private)
- Pasig City – all levels (both public and private)
Other parts of Luzon
- Taytay, Rizal – kinder to Grade 12, (both public and private)
Visayas:
- Iloilo City – preschool to Grade 12 (both public and private)
