MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and four other areas are expecting moderate to heavy rain showers on Friday afternoon, according to the state weather bureau.
This information comes from the latest update from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Rizal, Metro Manila, Bulacan, Zambales and Tarlac within the next two hours,” Pagasa said in its advisory.
Earlier, Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said cloudy skies with rain showers are expected in most of the country on Friday.
The southwest monsoon or “habagat,” which was weakened in previous days, will prevail again starting Friday afternoon, according to Estareja.
