Bacoor City: Shabu worth P3.4M seized from 3 traffickers

LUCENA CITY — Police on Tuesday seized shabu worth P3.4 million from three alleged bigtime drug traffickers in Bacoor City in Cavite province.

The city police arrested suspects Boss, 19, Mary, 22, and Mark, 20, at 3:50 a.m. after selling a pack of shabu to an undercover policeman in Barangay Maliksi 1, the regional police said.

The operatives confiscated from the suspects four sachets containing 500 grams of shabu worth P3,400,000 as per Dangerous Drugs Board valuation.

The operatives also seized a mobile phone from the suspects to be examined for drug transactions.

The Cavite police are investigating the source of the drugs.

Police tagged the three suspects, all residents of the village, ashigh-value persons on the local police drug watch list.

The arrested suspects were detained at the city jail while cases for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared for filing in court.

Last month, anti-illegal drugs operatives in Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon provinces under the jurisdiction of PRO4A arrested 908 suspected drug traffickers. They seized more than P17.1 million worth of illegal drugs.
