MANILA, Philippines —  Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy, who is wanted for child abuse, sexual abuse, and qualified trafficking, is still in the country, Interior Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr. said, citing the latest report he received.

Abalos revealed this in an ambush interview on Thursday, following reports that dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo had already left the country and arrived in Indonesia last month.

“Sa aming report lumalabas na nasa Pilipinas pa po si Pastor Quiboloy, base sa report na binibigay sa akin,” Abalos said.

(Based on the report given to me, it appears that Quiboloy is still in the Philippines.)

When asked what measures they are taking to ensure that Quiboloy can not leave the country, Abalos said authorities are doing everything they can to locate him.

“Sini-siguro namin na si Pastor Quiboloy talagang hinahanap namin, in fact, kung makikita nyo talagang na-imbestigahan pa ang kapulisan maski kami sa paghahanap sa kanya, talagang gagawin namin lahat di lang sa kaso niya, lahat po na may warrant of arrest,” he explained.

(We are looking for Quiboloy. In fact, we were also investigated as part of the ongoing efforts to find him. We will do everything, not only for his case but also for those who have existing arrest warrants.)

Quibolo is wanted for child abuse, sexual abuse, and qualified trafficking.

Last August 8, Davao regional police director Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III revealed that Quiboloy was only inside the KJC compound.

According to Torre, there is a plan to conduct another operation against Quiboloy, but the police are considering the “safety” and “wellbeing” of his followers.
