Marcos: P17B in aid, services given to 2M via Bagong Pilipinas Fair

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday said a total of P17 billion in services and financial aid has already been provided to over two million beneficiaries nationwide through the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF).

Marcos made the pronouncement during the BPSF Summit at the Philippine International Convention Center or PICC in Manila.

According to Marcos, the government, through the BPSF, has already provided P12 billion in services and P5 billion in financial aid to 21 provinces.

“Mula sa amin sa Ilocos Norte, hanggang sa Tawi-Tawi nalibot na ng BPSF ang iba’t ibang probinsya nakadaan na ang BPSF sa 21 provinces sa loob lamang ng isang taon,” said Marcos in a speech.

(From Ilocos Norte to Tawi-Tawi, BPSF has already visited different provinces. BPSF has been to 21 provinces in just one year.)

“Nakapagbigay tayo ng lagpas P12 billion na halaga ng serbisyo, at halos P5 billion na tulong na pinansyal sa humigit kumulang 2 million beneficiaries,” he added.

(We have provided over P12 billion worth of services and nearly P5 billion in financial assistance to approximately 2 million beneficiaries.)

The BPSF also gave beneficiaries easier access to different government services and programs, such as free vaccines, birth certificates, passports, and driver’s license registration, among others.

Marcos said the government then aims to further reach and provide aid to 61 more provinces, focusing on far-flung areas.
