P1.7M 'shabu' seized from 3 'high-value' suspects in Pampanga

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Police on Sunday arrested three men, described by the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) as high-value individuals, who allegedly yielded some P1.7 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) in the City of San Fernando.

In a statement on Monday, PRO3 officer-in-charge Benjamin Sembrano identified the arrested persons as alias Alex, 47, a resident of Angeles City; alias Amino, 38, of Dinalupihan, Bataan; and alias Amed, 38, of General Trias, Cavite.

He said the operation took place in San Jose village in this province’s capital city.

Joint operatives of the provincial police’s intelligence and special drug enforcement unit and City of San Fernando police conducted the buy-bust operation against the trio, which resulted in the latter’s arrest and confiscation of 260 grams of shabu.

The suspects face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

On Saturday, policemen arrested a Korean man after he allegedly sold ecstasy pills to an undercover lawman in Angeles City.

A police report identified the arrested foreigner as “July Kim,” 43, a resident of the Royal Garden Estate in Santa Cruz, Porac.

He was arrested at 3:05 a.m. on Friday in a buy-bust operation along Kampuput Street in Pampang village.

Police conducted the sting operation against the Korean national.

Allegedly confiscated from him were 12 pieces of suspected ecstasy tablets worth P20,500 and less than a gram of suspected ketamine worth P2,500.IN
