Fair, warm Friday weather nationwide
MANILA, Philippines — It will be a fair and warm Friday, especially in non-mountainous areas in Luzon, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja, in an early morning update, said the southwest monsoon or “habagat” only affects extreme northern Luzon.
“Fair weather is still expected today, Friday, in large parts of the country, especially in Luzon. When we say fair, we don’t expect continuous heavy rains except in Batanes and Babuyan Islands, where the southwest monsoon continues to prevail,” Estareja said in Filipino.
“And because of fair weather today, expect high temperatures in many areas, especially in the plains of Luzon,” he added.
