MANILA, Philippines — The southbound lane of the Edsa-Kamuning flyover in Quezon City reopened Thursday, two months ahead of schedule, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

MMDA chief Don Artes said the flyover’s retrofitting work started in May, and its initial target completion is October.

However, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) retrofitting took only three months, and was done by August 15, Artes noted.
