MANILA, Philippines — Filipinos are more content with the Senate than with the House of Representatives, but both institutions posted lower satisfaction ratings compared to the previous survey, according to the Social Weather Stations (SWS).
Held on June 23 to July 1, the Second Quarter SWS survey published on Wednesday showed that 66 percent were satisfied and 16 percent were dissatisfied with the performance of the Senate, while 60 percent were satisfied and 18 percent were dissatisfied with the House.

The net satisfaction rating of the Senate at +50 points was classified as “very good,” while the House, with +41 points, was deemed as “good.”
However, the net satisfaction rating of both institutions fell compared to the March 2024 period.
During that time, the Senate posted a “very good” rating at +55, while the House had a “good” rating of +45.
In the June survey, the net satisfaction rating of the Senate was highest in Metro Manila at +53, followed by Mindanao at +51, Balance Luzon at +50, and Visayas at +48.
The current numbers also saw the House getting a satisfaction rating in Metro Manila of +44, followed by Balance Luzon with +43, Mindanao with +39, and the Visayas with +38.
As for the Supreme Court (SC), 59 percent were satisfied and 18 percent were dissatisfied with their performance, posting a net satisfaction of +41, classified as “good.”
The satisfaction rating of the high court, however, fell by five points from +46 during the March survey.
Current numbers show that the satisfaction rating of SC was highest in Metro Manila and Mindanao, at +43 each, followed by Balance Luzon at +41 and the Visayas at +39.
The Second Quarter 2024 Social Weather Survey was conducted from June 23 to July 1 using face-to-face interviews of 1,500 adults nationwide.
Meanwhile, according to the survey last conducted in December 2023, the cabinet of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. got 58 percent satisfaction rating while 12 percent were dissatisfied.
