Grace in the deep: Soon-to-be-mom stuns in underwater maternity shoot
Christian Cee, a skilled professional photographer and videographer from Laguna, produced a stunning and elegant underwater maternity photoshoot with a pregnant free diver in Mabini City, Batangas.
One of his works of art is the breathtaking and glorious underwater maternity photoshoot with Ms. LA, taken on May 12. For Cee, it was one of the most enjoyable maternity shoots to date, and he was surprised at how Ms. LA managed to dive and move underwater with such grace.
Cee mentioned that it is so easy to work with Ms. LA since she knows how to pose gracefully and can execute all the poses as if she does not have a baby girl in her belly.
“Ms. LA is a professional free diver, and she’s looking forward to doing an underwater maternity shoot. We did the session for almost two hours; we consulted with her OB (obstetrics), [which] allowed us to continue the plan with OB clearance and a certified safety diver during the shoot,” he explained.

Cee used to take pictures as a hobby, but nowadays, he pursues it with determination and enthusiasm. He discovered that investing in his two cameras was more than just a pastime; it was a side venture.

Moreover, he admitted that performing an underwater photoshoot is not easy and challenges his creative skills.
“The most challenging part is how to make your client feel confident during the shoot. Some clients are shy or do not know what to do in front of the camera. Part of my work as a photographer is to make them feel natural, comfortable, and confident,” he added. — Eunice Viado, INQUIRER trainee
