MANILA, Philippines — A Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) officer and two other men were caught carrying P68 million worth of suspected crystal meth, locally known as shabu, in Parañaque City, according to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

In a statement on Sunday, the PDEA said 27-year-old Correction Officer 1 Paul Patrick Toledo, 34-year-old truck driver Romeo Guerrero, and 27-year-old security guard Reynold Teodoro were apprehended during a buy-bust operation at Skate Park in Bulungan last Aug. 9.

The operation was conducted by PDEA, Metro Manila police, and the Philippine National Police – Drug Enforcement Group.

PDEA said aside from the 10 kilograms of suspected shabu, two vehicles, a pistol loaded with live ammunition, and mobile phones were seized from the suspects.

They will face complaints for violating Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
