MANILA, Philippines – Cloudy skies and rain showers will prevail in many parts of Luzon and Western Visayas on Friday due to the southwest monsoon or “habagat”, according to the state weather bureau.

“Patuloy pa din ang pag-ihip ng habagat o southwest monsoon sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon at Western Visayas, so asahan na po ang pag-ulan partikular dito sa western sections,” said Benison Estareja, weather specialist of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
