Cavite bust: 2 suspects yield shabu worth P272,000

LUCENA CITY — Two drug suspects were arrested and shabu (crystal meth) worth about P272,000 was confiscated in a buy-bust operation on Wednesday night, Aug. 7, in General Mariano Alvarez town in Cavite province.

The Cavite police said in a report Thursday that anti-narcotics agents nabbed “Jay,”32, and “Vivian,”49 at 8:20 p.m. after they sold shabu to an undercover policeman in a transaction in Barangay F. De Castro.

The law enforcers seized from the suspects 40 grams of shabu.

The suspects, both residents of the locality, are on the police drug watch list as street-level drug pushers. The police were tracking the source of the illegal drugs.

Both suspects were detained at the local police jail and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
