House’s Lakas-CMD membership climbs to 103

MANILA, Philippines — The membership of the Lakas-CMD in the lower chamber has reached 103 after two lawmakers joined the political party, according to Speaker Martin Romualdez.

In a statement on Wednesday, Romualdez said Benguet Rep. Eric Yap and the province’s governor, Melchor Diclas, were the latest addition to the political party.

Aside from them, there were other officials such as Manila Rep. Joel Chua, Isabela Rep. Ed Christopher Go, and former Marikina congressman Miro Quimbo.

Furthermore, Soledad Go, wife of Baguio City Rep. Mark Go, joined the political party headed by Romualdez.

“Their leadership, experience, and commitment to serve our people greatly enhance our collective efforts to support the Agenda for Prosperity of President Marcos, Jr. and his vision for Bagong Pilipinas,” Romualdez said.

He also welcomed the new members, saying: “They share our principles and aspirations for a better life for our people and a more progressive Philippines.”
